Antique Art

  When visiting King's Row, be sure to check out the art booth located on the back wall. It is full of fabulous framed oils by known artists, as well as other framed prints and photos. The owners of this booth, Kay and Howard, do extensive research on their pieces and list information beside paintings. They also have a notebook available that contains biographical information on each featured artist.

  
One example is this unsigned oil on canvas attributed to Willie Bauer. Documentation is provided. Bauer's fresh, impressionistic style has won him wide acclaim throughout the art world.

  Another example is the beautiful oil on canvas entitled, Regatta, by Louise Brown. Signed and dated by Brown and custom framed, this painting would be a wonderful addition to a lake house or beach home.

This smaller Franz Weiss (1903-1982) oil on canvas is titled "St. Louis Street, Vieux Carre, New Orleans. Signed by Weiss and dated 1970, the painting illustrates a night street scene. It is framed in a cherry wood shadowbox.

Kentucky regional artist Evelyn Law completed the painting "A Walk in the Kentucky Woodland"
while she was in her 80s. This piece is signed by Law in the lower right hand corner.

Welcome to King's Row Antiques!

King's Row Antiques is Guntersville, Alabama's newest antique mall. We opened on April 1st and have had a very busy two months. Thanks to all those who have supported us. Because we are a mall setting with several dealers, you will find a wide variety of merchandise, from vintage to antique furniture, glassware and collectibles to Oriental rugs to handmade jewelry. Merchandise is constantly changing.
We are located at 368 Gunter Ave in the old King's clothing store directly across from Fant's. Our store hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
This blog will keep you updated on all that is going on at King's Row. Coming up - lot's of doings for the 4th of July in downtown Guntersville, including the Songwriters Festival.
